Atkinson Clock Tower
Kota Kinabalu was called Jesselton. Jesselton was placed under the rule of the U.K., and Francis George Atkinson was the first district chief of the bureau. Atkinson fell malaria with 28-year-old youth, and clock tower was built by death by his mother. It started construction in 1902, and the Atkinson clock tower completed in 1905 took the duty of the lighthouse of the town at one time and, from hill which could overlook a town more than 100 years, looked at the change of the town of Kota Kinabalu.
Along with the Sabah Tourism Board, it is one of the precious buildings which escaped from the war while all ridges of Jesselton disappeared in World War II.

It is a 10 minutes walk from the Kota Kinabalu city, Suria Sabah shopping mall.
You cross the main street of the mountain side from the Gaya street where a Sunday market is performed, and it immediate.
